Cherry Jones returns to the Goodman to portray Josie Hogan, the greatest role O'Neill ever wrote for a woman. At the Goodman, Jones appeared in Frank Galati's production of The Good Person of Setzuan and Robert Falls'production of The Night of the Iguana. Both performances won her Joseph Jefferson Awards. In New York, she received a Tony Award for her performance in The Heiress on Broadway, and an Obie Award for her off-Broadway performance in Paula Vogel's The Baltimore Waltz. She received critical acclaim for her reprise performance in The Night of the Iguana at the Roundabout and the world premiere of Tina Howe's Pride's Crossing at Lincoln Center. She can currently be seen in the new Tim Robbins film, Cradle Will Rock. |
