"Orgone energy is cosmic life energy, the fundamental
creative force long known to people in touch with nature, and speculated
about by natural
scientists, but now physically objectified and demonstrated. The orgone
was discovered by Dr. Wilhelm Reich, who identified many of its basic
properties. For instance, the orgone energy charges and radiates from
all living and non-living substances. It also can readily penetrate all
forms of matter, though with varying rates of speed. All materials affect
the orgone energy, by attracting and absorbing it, or by repelling or
reflecting it. The orgone can be seen, felt, measured, and photographed.
It is a real, physical energy, and not just some metaphysical, hypothetical
power." ...Quote from the book The Orgone Accumulator Handbook by
James DeMeo, Ph.D. (available from your favorite bookstore or from
Natural Energy Works, Greensprings, P. O. Box 1148, Ashland, OR 97520; www.orgonelab.org ).
I was part of a group of people back in the late sixties and early
seventies in Idaho who experimented with orgone energy - could it
be seen, what could you
do with it, how reliable was it, and so forth. We built several accumulator
boxes, and with success. Thus, my knowledge of orgone is personal
and as a lived experience.
Imagine then my delight to discover that a friend of mine, here in Virginia,
was making orgone blankets and offering them for sale. The blankets, because
of how they are made, are orgone accumulators, but of the easy, attractive, comfortable
kind (not a boxed affair). My friend's name is Philip Khnopp. I purchased one
full-length blanket (3' x 6') for our household, and a blanket for my oldest
daughter and her household. All work
on the blankets is hand-done by Philip and in a prayerful state of mind. I admire
his dedication in helping others by sharing this talent.
I have found orgone blankets to be beneficial in recharging me when I
am tired or hurting; my husband is amazed at how restful his sleep
is now that our blanket
is "perched" outside our bedroom door on the stair railing. Orgone
blankets, at least in my opinion, are "alive" in the sense of how they
feel when you touch them (I find their vibration to be quite strong), and I consider
ours to be a "member of the family" and as such is treated with respect
and care. Most people who have orgone blankets talk about how healing and soothing
they are - healing in the sense that you feel better after having used one. I
can't leave ours on my body too long, as it gets too hot and prickly - 20 minutes
does it for me during any one session; but other people go to sleep all night
with theirs. Apparently, people "know" how long to use one by the way
they feel about having it atop or next to them. When it gets too warm or doesn't
feel right, simply remove it. Others are put-off to begin with and don't like
to be around them. Remember, "orgone" is life energy. Some people can
handle such energy in concentration, while others cannot. If you feel guided
to have one, here are the particulars:
Orgone Blankets by Philip Khnopp Large are 3' x 6' and sells for $220.00
(plus $20 in the U.S. for shipping/handling) Covers are washable cotton.
The actual blanket inside the cover should not be washed. American
dollars only. Pay
via money order or
cashiers cheque. Questions welcomed. Contact Philip directly.
Cautions: Do not buy an orgone blanket if you live near
high-tension power lines, are within 45 miles of a nuclear reactor, or
live near an oil
refinery. In your
home, do not allow the blanket to be in the same room with a microwave oven or
computer. Do not have one near fluorescent lights, halogen lights, or a television
set - you can have one at least six feet away and be okay, the further away the
better. The reason for this is simple: these items/ energy sources interfere
with life energy and can turn positive effects into negative ones.
Always keep your orgone blanket open to the circulation of air in your
home. Never box it up or store it away. We loop ours over a stair railing.
Consider
it a "friend" that is alive and lively; treat it with respect. If you
do, your "friend" will return your care with positive charges of the
best energy available to it. We love ours and are grateful to Philip for making
it. --PMH
