After my three near-death experiences in 1977, I
went through a long process of redefining my world and me in it. That
redefinition process included challenging everything in my environment
- pots and pans, sheets, soap, dishes, rooms and walls, etc. I even
went as far as sending off to the major manufacturers of pots and pans,
obtaining their manufacturing specs and metallurgical reports, and then
going to a local lab and having that information tested. Because of these
tests, I threw away everything aluminum plus a particular brand of steel
pans with copper bottoms, and turned entirely to Farberware, some cast
iron, tinned steel, and Corning ware. (Over time, certain steel
pans that are scratched a lot will leach nickel and you can get nickel
poisoning---my youngest daughter did. The same is true with aluminum
as per aluminum poisoning. Yes, cast iron leaches iron, but for most
adults that can be a good thing, especially with women. Don't use with
children.)
A few years later, still challenging "what is," I discovered
Palma Christi Bar Soap. The first week I tested it out, my body didn't
seem to like it - my skin felt a little scratchy and "strange." I
was about to toss the stuff, when, literally overnight, my body fell
in love with Palma Christi Bar Soap and that love affair continues still.
Today, I use nothing else. I guess that first week was just getting used
to it. Ingredients are: Castor Oil, Almond Oil, Lanolin, Aloe Vera, and
Cocoa Butter in a special formulation. Remember, though, just because
it works for me doesn't mean it will work for you. We're all different.
